Pennsylvania Regulatory Body Imposes Fines totaling $100,350

In response to multiple instances of regulatory violations, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has imposed fines amounting to $100,350.

The operator of Hollywood Casino, Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, has agreed to pay a fine of $78,000 due to its failure to meet the minimum security staffing requirements.

TCS John Huxley America and TCS John Huxley Europe have also consented to a fine of $22,350 for their non-compliance with state law regarding the filing of principal licensing applications.

These fines were imposed through consent agreements reached between the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) and each respective business.

Casino Prohibitions

The PGCB has granted approval to the Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) to enforce bans on five individuals, prohibiting them from entering any casinos in the state. These individuals were found to have left children unattended while they engaged in gambling activities.

At the Presque Isle Downs Casino & Racetrack, a male and female patron were placed on the Involuntary Exclusion List after leaving five children, aged 2, 4, 5, 11, and 13, unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot for 35 minutes while they gambled inside.

Similarly, at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, another male player was banned for leaving an 11-year-old child unattended in a vehicle in the parking garage for 30 minutes while he placed bets at the on-site sportsbook.

In a separate incident, a male player was banned for leaving a 10-year-old child unattended in a vehicle parked near the valet area of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh for five minutes while he gambled at the sportsbook.

Furthermore, a female patron was banned after leaving two children, aged 8 and 9, unattended in a vehicle in the Mohegan Pennsylvania parking lot for 45 minutes while she played slot machines inside the casino.

Additionally, the PGCB rejected a petition from a female patron who sought removal from the list. In 2017, she had left her daughters, aged 8 and 12, unattended in a vehicle for 45 minutes in the parking lot of Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin to gamble.
