Konami Gaming & Systems Revenue Rises 41% to ¥25.1 Billion in First Half as Solstice 49C Lifts Slot Sales
Konami's Gaming & Systems unit grew revenue 41.3% to ¥25.1 billion in the six months to 30 September 2026, with segment profit up 154% on Solstice 49C sales.

Konami Group's Gaming & Systems business grew revenue 41.3% to ¥25.1 billion (about $159 million) in the six months to 30 September 2026, the Tokyo-based company reported on 29 October, as sales of its Solstice 49C slot cabinet recovered from a weak 2025. Segment business profit rose 154.4% to ¥2.4 billion, doubling the unit's margin to 10%.
Gaming & Systems is the part of Konami that designs slot machines for casinos in North America, Australia and other markets and sells SYNKROS, its casino management system. It is a small part of a group dominated by video games, but it is Konami's link to the casino industry.
The numbers
The gaming unit's rebound came against a soft base. In the same half of 2025, revenue fell 4.5% and profit fell 60%, which Konami blamed on US tariff measures and customers holding orders until the new cabinet arrived, according to Asia Gaming Brief.

What drove the growth
Konami's presentation gives two reasons. Gaming machine unit sales increased on the back of the Solstice 49C, which Konami described in May as its first new cabinet model in about six years, per GGRAsia. And SYNKROS was installed at casino properties in California and Arizona and aboard cruise ships.
GamblingNews also credited new casino openings and replacement demand in North America and Australia, and named Bomberman-themed content in North America and the Dragon Rush and Bull Rush Stampede games in Australia. Konami's previous annual report had flagged Bull Rush Stampede's popularity in Australia, GGRAsia said. The figure of about 150,000 slot machines linked to SYNKROS comes from GamblingNews and is not in the latest presentation.
Konami showed two more cabinets at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2026 in Las Vegas, Solstice 27 and Solstice SuperNova, both scheduled for North American release during the current fiscal year, according to the presentation. The company has a long record of showing new slots and systems at trade shows and of supplying lottery corporations, including a deal to rebuild British Columbia's BC Gold progressive slots for 27 casinos.
The rest of Konami
The casino unit is about 8% of group revenue. Konami's video game division drove a record half.
| Segment | H1 revenue | Change | H1 business profit | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Digital Entertainment | ¥243.5 billion | +44.3% | ¥107.5 billion | +75.1% |
| Sports (fitness clubs) | ¥25.7 billion | +3.3% | ¥1.9 billion | +8.9% |
| Gaming & Systems | ¥25.1 billion | +41.3% | ¥2.4 billion | +154.4% |
| Arcade Game | ¥10.4 billion | +17.4% | ¥2.7 billion | +50.1% |
| Group | ¥308.0 billion | +37.0% | operating profit ¥111.3 billion | +73.1% |
Profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 70.5% to ¥79.2 billion, about $501 million.
Forecast: gaming target unchanged
Konami raised its full-year forecast for the year to 31 March 2027 to revenue of ¥583.0 billion, from ¥505.0 billion, and operating profit of ¥193.0 billion, from ¥143.0 billion. It also lifted its planned annual dividend to ¥299 a share from ¥224.
The increase came entirely from video games. Konami kept its Gaming & Systems revenue forecast at ¥46.0 billion. Having booked ¥25.1 billion in the first half, the unit needs about ¥20.9 billion in the second half to hit that target, less than it made in the first. In fiscal 2026 the unit made ¥43.1 billion, up 1%, while its operating profit halved, according to GGRAsia.
Why it matters
Slot suppliers compete for a limited number of floor replacements each year, and Konami said competition in the gaming equipment market "remains strong," as quoted by GamblingNews. Rivals such as Aristocrat are pushing into new channels, including bringing a top-rated slot to Class 2 tribal casinos. Konami's half shows that a new cabinet can still move its numbers sharply, and its two G2E launches will test whether the Solstice range keeps selling once the first wave of orders is filled.

Frequently asked questions
How much revenue did Konami Gaming & Systems make in the first half of fiscal 2027?
Konami's Gaming & Systems segment, which makes slot machines and the SYNKROS casino management system, reported revenue of ¥25.1 billion in the six months to 30 September 2026, up 41.3% from ¥17.8 billion a year earlier. That is roughly $159 million. Segment business profit rose 154.4% to ¥2.4 billion, about $15 million, according to Konami's results presentation published on 29 October 2026.
Why did Konami's gaming revenue grow so fast?
Konami says gaming machine unit sales rose, driven by strong performance of the Solstice 49C cabinet, its first new cabinet in about six years. It also installed SYNKROS at casinos in California and Arizona and on cruise ships. The comparison was easy: in the same half of 2025 the unit's revenue fell 4.5% as customers delayed orders before the new cabinet and US tariffs hit.
What is SYNKROS?
SYNKROS is Konami's casino management system, the software that links a property's slot machines and tables to player tracking, loyalty, accounting and marketing tools. Konami sells it to land-based casinos and, increasingly, to cruise lines. GamblingNews reported that about 150,000 slot machines are connected to SYNKROS, a figure not stated in Konami's latest results presentation.
What is Konami forecasting for the full year?
Konami raised its group forecast for the year to 31 March 2027 to revenue of ¥583.0 billion and operating profit of ¥193.0 billion, mainly because of its video game business. It left the Gaming & Systems revenue forecast unchanged at ¥46.0 billion, which would be about 7% above the ¥43.1 billion the unit made in fiscal 2026.
