According to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, the casino handle in Arkansas reached $633.3 million in February, showing a 5.6% increase from January. Casino revenue was $49.5 million.
However, the sports betting handle was $29.5 million, indicating a decrease of 40.4% from January. Out of this, 84% ($24.9 million) was generated online. The mobile sports betting handle also dropped by 4.9% compared to January, and the revenue from mobile sports betting fell by 38%.
In January, Pulaski County Magistrate Judge Timothy Fox ruled that the licenses of Cherokee Nation Businesses and Legends Resort and Casino were invalid, stating that it violated the Arkansas constitution. The judge also opined that Legends Resort and Casino lacked casino gaming experience and was therefore not suitable for a license.
