Betsson has obtained its third regional license in Argentina

Betsson, the operator, has received its third online gambling license in Argentina’s Cordoba province.

The local regulator, Loteria de Cordoba, granted the license to Betsson and its partner, Casino de Victoria, allowing them to launch online gambling services in the region.

The two companies first joined hands in 2019, and they have also jointly obtained online gaming licenses in the Buenos Aires province and the City of Buenos Aires.

Betsson started its operations in Buenos Aires in February 2020, and the Cordoba license is the eighth to be issued in the province.

“We are very pleased to have received a licence to operate in the locally regulated market in the province of Cordoba, together with our partner, Casino de Victoria,”

Betsson president and chief executive Pontus Lindwall said.

“When merging their long experience in the Argentinian market with our know-how in online gaming, we can truly reach our ambition of becoming a market leader in this rapidly growing online market.”

Betsson’s approval for its third online gambling license in Argentina follows its recent sponsorship deals with two prominent Latin American football competitions.

Last month, the operator partnered with Chile’s National Association of Professional Football and Liga 1, Peru’s top football division.
