Mecca Bingo has stepped out of its comfort zone by welcoming popular UK rappers Barney Artist and Guvna B to its Dagenham location for an episode of their new YouTube series, ‘Rappers Try Things.’ This latest initiative is part of Mecca Bingo’s ongoing effort to change the perception of bingo in the UK, positioning it as a dynamic and enjoyable activity for all ages.

In this unique episode, filmed in January 2024, Barney Artist and Guvna B dive into the world of bingo, taking on the experience with humor and curiosity. The episode captures the duo’s visit to Mecca Bingo Dagenham, where they were greeted by the venue’s Assistant Manager, Peter Houston, and Charlotte Craythorne Allan. Throughout their visit, the pair engaged in various bingo-related activities, fully immersing themselves in the British pastime.

Guvna B, known for his talent as a rapper and presenter, spoke enthusiastically about the experience:

“As soon as we arrived, we knew we were in for a great night. It was such a fun environment and there was a strong sense of community. The bingo itself was a lot more of an adrenaline rush than we anticipated but thoroughly enjoyable! Special thanks to the staff, the regulars, and everyone else that made our first-ever bingo experience a great one!”

Peter Houston, Assistant Manager at Mecca Dagenham, also expressed his delight at hosting the artists, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere that Mecca Bingo offers:
