However, what made this evening truly extraordinary was its commitment to a noble cause. The event concluded with a thrilling art auction that raised a substantial €47,000. These funds will be channeled into projects supported by the SiGMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the company. The SiGMA Foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact on communities worldwide through various initiatives, including fundraising activities, educational programs, and skill development projects aimed at fostering self-confidence and personal empowerment.

Keith Marshall, a representative of the SiGMA Foundation, highlighted the significance of these contributions, emphasizing the role of finance in overcoming life’s challenges. He expressed gratitude to all the contributors and underlined the collective effort to make a difference beyond the world of art. Marshall emphasized that it’s not merely about art but about communal involvement, giving voice to society, and breathing life into initiatives that support the underprivileged.

The art auction featured a captivating array of pieces, each telling its unique story. “Neverland,” a striking black and white creation by Peter Seychell, opened the bidding at EUR 3,500. The auction took an amusing turn when a satirical painting of SiGMA’s CIS Director, Denis Dzyubenko, became a crowd favorite and sold for an impressive €15,000. Mark Mallia’s facial puppet fetched €3,500, while EDO’s portrait of Napoleon found a buyer at €15,000. The final piece, “Afterparty” by Sandra Kowalski, was acquired for €10,000.

As SiGMA Foundation continues its journey into 2024, it remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need around the world. The Foundation’s upcoming projects include the GLOW Campaign in Colombia, focusing on supporting children born with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities. Collaborating with the local NGO, Premium Care Kids, this initiative aims to restore smiles and self-esteem.

Another significant project is the Women Empowerment Project in Jimma Bonga, Ethiopia, which offers women in disadvantaged regions opportunities for education and economic advancement. The program includes training in IT, cookery, sewing, and hairdressing, addressing the limited access to education and economic opportunities faced by women in these areas.

For thrill-seekers, the Foundation has planned a second Mount Toubkal expedition in May 2024, offering a unique challenge in the African mountain environment. Additionally, Camino de Santiago expeditions, including a Camino group and a new Ingles route group, are in the Foundation’s itinerary for September 2024.

The SiGMA Foundation’s commitment to philanthropic endeavors shines as brightly as the awards presented during the SiGMA B2C Awards event. With a shared vision of making the world a better place, SiGMA and its Foundation continue to impact lives and create opportunities for those in need.
