The countdown begins for the gaming industry’s landmark event, ICE, set for its last showing in London from 6 – 8 February before it heads to sunnier climes in Barcelona in 2025. Registration is now officially open, granting access to what is set to be a historic edition of the world’s largest and most international gaming expo. Enthusiasts and professionals can claim their free exhibition pass through the official website.
This farewell London edition, housed in the ExCeL London – ICE’s venue since 2013 – is anticipated to draw record-breaking crowds, says Clarion Gaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter. “2024 will be a poignant occasion for everyone associated with the ICE brand as we bid adieu to London and gear up for a new chapter in Barcelona come January 2025,” Hunter remarks.
The expo is expected to attract a global audience, driven by the prospect of engaging with over 600 exhibitors, thousands of new product unveilings, and the chance to interact with leading international thought leaders, decision-makers, and regulators. The ICE VOX learning platform also stands ready to offer unparalleled educational opportunities across all gaming sectors and verticals.
“In tune with our 2024 ICE theme, we are expecting a surge in visitor numbers, fuelled by the aspiration to forge more connections, discover more inspiration, and access enhanced learning,” Hunter adds.
ICE serves as a cornerstone for the global gaming supply chain, including innovators, service providers, and operators who regard the expo as their paramount business event of the year.
The strategic move of ICE and its sister show, iGB Affiliate, to Barcelona followed a rigorous six-month bidding process, orchestrated by an independent agency and greenlighted by the ICE Advisory Board. This board, comprising representatives from top-tier international brands spanning both online and land-based gaming, endorsed the relocation enthusiastically. The inaugural ICE Barcelona and iGB Affiliate Barcelona are slated to take place at the sprawling 240,000 sqm Fira de Barcelona from 20 to 22 January 2025, marking a new era for the esteemed expo.
