Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Strengthens Sales Team with Four Key Appointments
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has reinforced its sales division by welcoming four experienced leaders to promote and sell Las Vegas as a premier meeting and event destination. With a focus on boosting meeting, convention, and tradeshow sales for the destination and the renowned Las Vegas Convention Center, these new team members bring a wealth of expertise and industry knowledge.
Rebecca DeLuca, previously the Director of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships at Caesars Entertainment, has been appointed as the Vice President of Destination Sales. In her role, DeLuca will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of the destination sales team. She brings extensive experience from her tenure at prominent organizations such as MGM Resorts International, Gaylord Hotels, and Cardinal Health.
David Sargent, a seasoned marketing professional with over 30 years of experience, assumes the position of Senior Director of Trade Show and Convention Sales. Based in Chicago, Sargent will represent LVCVA domestically and internationally, collaborating with Las Vegas resort partners and mission stakeholders. His leadership roles at renowned hotels in New York City and Chicago, as well as his contributions to organizations like Freeman, Choose Chicago, and Visit Orlando, have honed his expertise in the industry.
Mai Lim, the former Director of Global Sales at Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), joins the LVCVA as the Director of Intermediary Sales. Lim’s previous roles at MGM Resorts International, Station Casinos, and Viejas Casino and Resort have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the Las Vegas market and its unique offerings.
Jon Watson, a highly accomplished professional, has been appointed as the National Sales Manager based in Washington D.C. Watson brings extensive experience from his time at Caesars Entertainment, where he served as a National Sales Manager for eight years. His career also includes sales positions at Destination DC, Hargrove, Marriott International, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
With these strategic appointments, the LVCVA aims to bolster its sales efforts and reinforce Las Vegas’ position as an unrivaled destination for meetings, conventions, and tradeshows. The new team members will play a pivotal role in showcasing the city’s unparalleled offerings and attracting a diverse range of events to Las Vegas.
