GLI has appointed Pierre Otto as the General Manager for South Africa
After receiving regulatory approval, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has promoted Pierre Otto to the position of General Manager for South Africa.
Following his tenure as Senior Engineering Manager at GLI, Pierre Otto has been promoted to the role of General Manager for South Africa. Otto, who joined GLI in 2017, has an extensive background in the African gaming sector, having worked in various technical positions for companies such as Sun International properties, Scientific Games, WMS Gaming Africa, and The Carousel Casino.
Devon Dalbock, COO of EMEA, expressed excitement about Otto leading the South Africa team, highlighting his diverse experience and leadership qualities that will benefit both clients and employees. Dalbock believes Otto’s knowledge, skills, and vision will help clients navigate the industry’s future in Africa successfully.
In other news, GLI Group acquired all the outstanding shares of iTech Labs in May 2023. Established in 2004, iTech Labs is a gaming testing facility and currently operates as a fully owned subsidiary of GLI Australia. With locations in Australia, Asia, and Europe, iTech Labs conducts testing services. Through this acquisition, iTech Labs’ clients will gain access to GLI’s network of laboratories and connections with international regulators.
James R. Maida, President at GLI Group, expressed satisfaction that iTech Labs will continue operating under its own brand and maintaining its operations as it has for the past 19 years.
