GambleAware has approved a three-year extension of funding for TalkBanStop
The collaborative effort of GamCare, Gamban, and Gamstop has successfully secured funding from GambleAware for a three-year extension. This funding will enable them to continue offering support to individuals struggling with gambling-related issues.
The collaborative initiative known as TalkBanStop has successfully assisted over 12,000 individuals by providing Gamban’s blocking software, GamCare’s personalized support personnel, and Gamstop’s self-exclusion program for problem gamblers.
Following an Ipsos evaluation in 2022 that recognized TalkBanStop’s effectiveness in aiding those struggling with gambling addiction, GambleAware has extended its funding for an additional three years. This development ensures the continuity of free access to these tools and support services.
Anna Hemmings, Chief Executive at GamCare, expressed delight in securing long-term, sustainable funding for the TalkBanStop partnership, emphasizing their shared goal of reducing gambling-related harms.
