Top Sport Receives Another Fine from Lithuanian Gambling Supervisory Authority for Mobile Betting Regulation Violation.

The Authority discovered that bets were being automatically placed on Top Sport’s betting app, resulting in a fine of €15,000 (£12,913/$16,017) for the operator.

According to the Authority, Top Sport’s betting app automatically repeated bets placed on a live roulette table supplied by Ezugi when the player locked their phone. This action was found to be a violation of Article 16, Parts 4 and 5 of the Law on Gambling in Lithuania, as the game did not meet certain requirements.

Part 4 of the law specifies that all gaming devices must comply with the requirements set and approved by the Authority. Additionally, Part 5 states that both gaming devices and remote gaming devices must possess a certificate issued by accredited institutions, confirming their compliance with the legal requirements.

As a consequence, Top Sport received a fine and a warning that further breaches or failure to rectify the issue could result in the suspension of its license in Lithuania. The operator has been given until 1 July to comply with the necessary measures.

It’s important to note that all decisions made by the Authority can be appealed.

This recent ruling follows another penalty imposed on Top Sport by the Authority. The operator was fined €25,000 for permitting underage individuals to enter one of its slot salons. An investigation conducted by the Authority revealed that three individuals, including at least one minor, were able to enter the premises and remain inside for over two hours. The Authority noted that Top Sport did not take any measures to remove these individuals from its establishment.
