MGM Resorts to Close Jewel Nightclub at Aria on 21 November After a Decade
MGM Resorts will close the Jewel nightclub at Aria on the Las Vegas Strip after business on 21 November 2026, ending a run that began in 2016.

MGM Resorts will permanently close the Jewel nightclub at its Aria resort on the Las Vegas Strip after business on Saturday, 21 November 2026, ending a venue that opened on 19 May 2016.
MGM issued the announcement on Monday, 2 November 2026. Local broadcasters KLAS, FOX5 and KSNV all reported the closure date. Casino.org adds that MGM and Tao Group Hospitality, the company that operated the club, reached a mutual agreement to end the arrangement. MGM did not give a reason.
What MGM announced
The closure is permanent and takes effect after business on 21 November. The club's website listed Murphi Kennedy for 20 November and Kid Conrad for 21 November as part of its race-weekend entertainment, according to KLAS, so those bookings mark the final programmed nights.
MGM has "no immediate plans" for the space, per Casino.org. The room covers about 24,000 square feet. FOX5 and KSNV also report that no replacement has been announced.
Reports differ on how often the club was operating before the announcement. KLAS, citing the club's website, says Jewel was open on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. Casino.org, citing Vital Vegas, says the club had been cut back to two nights a week.

Jewel's ownership and history
Jewel replaced Haze, which Casino.org says opened in December 2009 and closed in 2014. Haze reportedly generated $25 million to $30 million a year before it shut, according to the same outlet.
Jewel opened on 19 May 2016 under Hakkasan Group, the nightlife operator that originally ran the venue. Tao Group Hospitality bought Hakkasan in 2021, and Mohari Hospitality acquired Tao in 2023. The ownership chain means the club passed through three corporate parents during a decade in the same room.
Casino.org estimates capacity at 1,925. KLAS, quoting the club's website, describes more than 1,400 feet of LED ribbons in the room's lighting design. Casino.org lists the Las Vegas Aces, the Golden State Warriors and a party hosted by UFC president Dana White among events held at the club.
What remains at Aria
Aria's other nightlife venues are not affected. Easy's Cocktail Lounge, Lift Bar and Alibi Cocktail Social will continue to operate, according to FOX5, KSNV and KLAS. Alibi opens on Friday, 13 November 2026, a week before Jewel closes.
The lineup points to a smaller-format approach for the resort's evening offering. Casino.org frames the Jewel closure as part of a broader move on the Strip away from megaclubs and toward lounges, bars and dining venues.
Context for Strip operators
The closure comes days after MGM reported its numbers for the quarter. Gamingo's coverage of MGM Resorts' third-quarter 2026 results detailed a narrower net loss of $17 million and lower Las Vegas room rates. Nightlife venues are one part of the non-gaming mix that Strip resorts use to draw visitors, a theme also seen in the Venetian Rewards program launch on the Strip.
MGM's wider portfolio continues to look outward as well. Earlier coverage tracked the company's UAE casino licence filing and the ORIX and MGM Japan resort unveiling. Neither bears on the Aria venue directly, but both show where MGM has put its expansion focus.
No statement from Tao Group Hospitality or Mohari Hospitality was available at the time of writing, and MGM has not said what it will do with the room after 21 November.
Status reviewed on 3 November 2026. Dates and figures come from MGM Resorts' announcement as reported by KLAS, FOX5, KSNV and Casino.org. More business news and North America coverage.
