In the fight against corruption in professional sports, ULIS has formed alliances with numerous sports organizations, governments, and regulators. With the inclusion of the Spillemyndigheden as an associate member, Denmark will contribute to the collective effort against fraud in sports and betting alongside ULIS and its partners.
The local market will receive enhanced protection from the regulator

As part of its commitment to take appropriate action, the Spillemyndigheden has joined ULIS, a move that grants the authority access to shared data and expertise to effectively regulate and supervise the local gambling industry.
Luca Esposito, the general secretary of ULIS, warmly welcomed the Spillemyndigheden to the association and commended their dedication to fairness and transparency. The collaboration between ULIS and the Danish regulator is expected to enhance the protection of the Danish gambling market.
The Danish Gambling Authority remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent gambling market. They believe that collaboration and cooperation are vital for upholding the integrity of sports betting in Denmark and eagerly anticipate working with the Spillemyndigheden as their new public authority associate member.
Meanwhile, Denmark is preparing to implement mandatory ID checks for all forms of gambling in the country, effective from October 1. This measure aims to address the alarmingly high rates of gambling-related harm and safeguard local customers from potential harm by requiring operators to register their customers.
In related news, a recent study revealed that a significant number of Danish gamblers initiate their gambling activities before reaching the age of 18, highlighting the importance of comprehensive measures to prevent underage gambling.
