MGA cancels the license of 4tune-Software

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced that 4tune-Software, a supplier, has failed to fulfill its regulatory payment obligations, resulting in a notice of license cancellation.

MGA has issued a notification to cancel the gaming software supplier license of 4tune-Software GmbH due to their failure to make required regulatory payments. The cancellation will be carried out in accordance with regulation 9(1) (c) and (l) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

The MGA has stated that 4tune-Software GmbH failed to fulfill its payment obligations within the required timeframe. As a result, the company’s authorization to conduct gaming operations under a Maltese license has been revoked, and they must settle all outstanding fees that are due.

The timing of this notice is noteworthy, as it comes shortly after the Malta Gaming Authority’s announcement that it would cancel the license of Totup System, an online pools betting operator, for similar reasons. The regulator claims that Totup System owes €50,000 in unpaid regulatory fees.

The Malta Gaming Authority has granted Totup System a 20-day period from the date of the cancellation notice to settle the outstanding regulatory fees and provide a written explanation as to why its license should not be revoked. If Totup System fails to take action within this timeframe, the MGA will proceed with the cancellation of its license.
